Copenhagen Pastry is pleased to offer shipments of our famous rye bread directly to your home or office.
One box can contain maximum four loaves of bread. Breads are individually wrapped and sealed for freshness. Breads can be frozen for up to four months without loss of taste. For best defrosting results place on paper towel or dish about 8-12 hours prior to use at room temperature.
Baked fresh daily, our rye bread is made with whole rye and wheat flour, rye berries that have been soaked and cooked to be chewy, flax seed and sunflower seeds for a bit of crunchiness, and finally rolled in sesame seeds before being baked to have a nice, crisp crust and substantive body. No preservatives are used.
Rye bread is prized in Denmark, and other Scandinavian countries, as the backbone of lunch boxes for school children and adults alike and the foundation bread for simple or extravagant versions of "smørrebrød" (open style sandwiches).
Rye bread is the perfect companion for the many salted, cured or smoked meats and fish popular in Denmark as well as served with many cheeses or jams and preserves.
